Using an XML framework, our API provides a full suite of capabilities for processing card-not-present transactions across any channel: website, in-app, or over the phone. With it, you can control the complete lifecycle of your transactions while managing your customer and reporting data.
Developers can integrate in several ways:
Getting started is easy and secure in our free Sandbox environment we provide for registered users to securtest their integrations. You can sample the full range of payment-processing capabilities our API offers, including Card Payments, Digital Wallets, and Fraud Rules. Your simulated transactions will follow the same lifecycle you can expect in production, such as waiting for settlement, batching, and so on, allowing you to fully test captures, refunds, and other all the other functionality you want to build into your application.
Once you create an app to get an API key for the Sandbox endpoint, you can use our test cards to simulate various transaction outcomes as you prepare to go live to production. You can use your Sandbox keys to process transactions using either direct API integration or the Hosted Payment Page.
To access our Sandbox test environment, you first need to register for an account on our developer portal. Once registered, you can securely test your integrations, explore the portal and save your favorite pages so you can quickly pick up where you left off, and join our Research Community to preview new features as soon as they become available.
If you already have an account on our Reporting or Disputes tools for merchants, you can use the same login for our developer portal. You just need to add your company name and region.
To register, just click Log In | Register in the top-right corner of any page or click below.
Get Registered NowBefore you can start testing your integration, you’ll need to request the test credentials needed to access our Sandbox. This includes a Shared Secret and a Refund Credit Password.
You only need to create one app for our XML API. After you send your initial request to generate test credentials, you won’t be able to create any more apps.
To create an app:
Once you’ve created a test app and received your credentials, you’re now ready to send API requests to our Sandbox endpoint to simulate payment processing.

When testing your integration, you should never use real card details or banking information. That’s why we provide simulated payment methods such as test card numbers. Use these resources to test different scenarios for your application or website to handle.
For more information and the full list of test card numbers, see Test Cards.
