Meet in the Cloud is a cloud-based service that allows you to connect a POS system to multiple payment devices. This enables partners to implement a payment solution more quickly, which in turn helps merchants by minimizing the time and costs involved in setting up their payment devices.
By connecting to your POS via the cloud, you get:
A go-forward API that is consistent regardless of the device
Single integration through cloud servers versus multiple client-facing applications
POS system and payment device do not need to be in close proximity
Facilitate a transaction launched from a web-based POS application anywhere
Added flexibility with connectivity from different networks
How do I integrate with Meet in the Cloud?
Create the necessary headers for your requests.
Connect to the MITC service via our REST API.
Send the request to Meet in the Cloud.
Meet in the Cloud will route the request to the relevant device.
The consumer pays on the device as usual.
The device processes the transaction.
Receive the transaction response.
Test your integration.
Important: For authentication, you must include the required headers in each request. For more information, please refer to Authenticating Your Requests.
Supported transaction & action types
Use Meet in the Cloud via our REST API to perform the following on the device:
Authorization
Sale
Tokenize a card as part of a Sale
Process a standalone (unlinked) refund
Cancel a transaction on the device
Any follow-on actions on a transaction, such as void, refund, etc. can be processed via our REST API. For more details, see Manage Payments
