Fully Integrated Payments

With a fully integrated setup, the developer is responsible for building the EMV interface from the ground up. This includes developing and testing EMV transaction flows using the chip card testing toolkit, and completing card brand certification.

This type of integration also requires the POS software to maintain PA-DSS compliance.

To begin your integration and certification process:

1. Review the Portico Exchange Certification Process
2. Contact our Integration Team to discuss your integration approach.
3. Submit your completed Certification Request Form to the same email.
4. Develop and test your integration. You can contact our team anytime if you need support.
5. When your solution is ready for certification, a Project Analyst (PA) will be assigned, and certification testing can begin.
6. Once your solution is validated, we'll issue you a certification letter, and you can begin the onboarding process.

1. The payment terminal sends cardholder data to the POS system.
2. The POS system sends the transaction data (cardholder data) to the processor.
3. The processor returns an authorization response to the POS system.
